Both came back to the SEC as losers from their previous jobs = similar;
Both barely beat .500 their first year back = similar;
Both had the #1 recruiting class their first full year recruiting at respective schools = similar.

Only difference is one of them looks like a former football player and the other looks like a former jockey.

Obsessed with Saban are you? Man i can't believe the Saban Posts. I and many other people could give a rats arse about Saban or comparing someone to him. If i was going to compare someone to him it would be Hitler, John Gotti but not Jesus Christ like some of you jerk offs.

Stoops did in two years at Oklahoma. That was amazing.

Was a long time ago. Nothing since.

Dooley is a younger version of Saban. UT and Bama dominate the next decade.

In meus pia sententia, Dooley est tunc valde cogo.

Anyone can win at Alabama. The program is making Saban look better than what he really is.

Every one of you guys that are bagging on Saban would nut in your pants if you found out he was coming (back) to your school. Butt hurt and envy are terrible things.

You know how good he is. He's proven it. With Meyer out now and Brown about to retire, he's The Man. There is no doubt there at all, no matter how many "suck off" jokes you make about it.

I would take a healthy Meyer over anyone else including Saban.

My problem with Saban is he is a dick, but not in a funny way like Spurrier for example. I think he is a great coach, but have never really liked him because of it.

Yeah he's a dick sometimes... but not to you personally. He's a dick when he feels like he needs to be, to shut up some stupid fricking reporter usually.

I think a winning coach HAS to have some "a-hole" in him or he won't win. And after all.... that's what we hire them for, right?

If Saban was still at LSU and you guys were on your 4th National Championship, you wouldn't give a flying frick how much of a "dick" he was.

I agree with you about how good he is, I am one of those who is tired of hearing it. Its like losing your girlfriend and years later she is still fricking your best friends. I don't hate him or for sure don't envy that bama has him, i have just moved on many months ago.

If Meyer is truly gone, and LSU doesn't replace Les Miles, Saban will rule the SEC for the foreseeable future. And everyone knows it.

I completely understand. I'd feel exactly the same way. I'd move on as well.

Saban doesnt take sh*t from the media. Including ESPN. He doesn't need the media to be great.

He is a one of a kind for now. He will fade in time. However, his is not there yet.

You may be right, but not everyone knows it. I dont' know that. I hope you dont; think you will be winning natl champs eveyyear? He has yet to prove that he stays anywhere that long.

Dooley
Gary Patterson
Muschamp

All remind of me of Saban in one way or another.

I think Patterson is the most like him when it comes to coaching. Hard nosed D coach who plays close attention to detail.

Dooley also acts alot like him with his speech and mannerisms.

Nah I know we won't win it all often. But I like our chances better with him than anyone else I can think of in the NCAA.

He's the biggest threat to repeat too, which would really be cool.

I have no clue what will happen next season, but the future looks bright.

His message to the crowd yesterday at the celebration in Tuscaloosa was: "The isn't the end. It's the beginning!"

We'll see if he stays a while. If he does we'll be in good shape.

I personally thinks he will stay awhile and i do think bama will be in good shape as well. You can't deny he is a good football coach and an organizer. I just don't think that he will totaly dominate. Although we have struggled the last 2 years, i think Miles does see the writing on the wall and will make enough changes to keep us in contention. I think it will be an LSU Bama battle year end and year out.
