Truth is if he is leaving The King for the Jackets then One Nick Saban is all for him leaving.

He was awful at UCF and hated the fans. “If you can fix the problem, come in at 3am into the athletic facility and do it!” Ha ha ha.

Here is how I imagine the conversation went. "My school has offered me a job as on oline coach. It is a lateral move, so I think I will decline the job."
Saban replied, "Oh no, you are taking that job."

JMO but I would like for GT to have success. I am glad Nick canceled that one game with Paul and GT. You don't want to play a good team that runs that shite. All risk and zero reward.

Yeah I don't Saban was too happy with the hits Tua was taking during the season. OL coach was processed because of it.

The timing on this is a bit strange. I assume the GT staff leaked to get the Jackets some positive PR during to the lead up to the NC?

Wrong. Geoff Collins did not want it out neither did GT marketing. There have been a lot of people for 2 weeks now that have known this. The AJC just got two people who knew and didn’t care if they released it. It didn’t come from GT officials. The two sources the article specified are just boosters most likely.
The Jackets Rivals reporter let this out 2 weeks ago on the private board but never made it public because he was told they wanted to keep it from hitting mainstream out of respect to Saban and not providing a distraction.
Collins did this with all of his hires. Even the temple guys. Nobody was announced until after they coached their bowl game.
