And unlike Auburn, they will do an actual investigation and if there is any truth to the claims, he will not play for Bama.

Hahahah WTF

Auburn did an investigation into Cam way before the allegations even showed up in the media

Oh, they're already spinning it for him over on AuburnEagle.

It's the usual stuff about the REC covering it all up. I think they are organizing to get the principal fired.

Now if they can clear up the mortgage issue, I think we're good to go.

I read a post on here earlier saying the mortgage was paid off 15 years ago. Is that not correct? No mention of the mortgage in the Rivals or NBC articles.

Becaused? Nice.

So, Auburn knew from the get go that Cecil solicited money from MSU, but decided to wait 10+ months, after the regular season ended, to declare Cam ineligible?

Slip of the keyboard.

You are correct, Auburn did know that Cecil solicited money from MSU. The NCAA also agreed that Cecil solicited money from MSU. The reason Cam played is that there was no evidence that Cecil solicited money from AUBURN or Cam knew about any of it. It is not that hard to understand except for you haters.

Any particular reason why Auburn waited till the Monday after the Iron Bowl to declare Cam ineligible? That's a rhetorical question btw.

Because that was the procedural arrangement organized between Auburn's compliance office and the NCAA.

But you can think of it as a grand conspiracy if you wish.

I haven't seen anything about the mortgage yet either (except that Bama compliance officials have spoken with the bank).

As I said on the first page, I've read that rumor you just mentioned and I've read other rumors saying his church pays it.

Regardless, the characters involved seem confident, so I think it will be ok.

Auburn seemed confident (and thankfully the Cam situation is beyond us) but it didn't stop the SECr from piling on

that being said, I don't think anything will come of this
