Dawgs, this kind of stuff is what we have dealt with ever since Saban signed with Bama in Jan 2007. Especially the younger crowd that thinks LSU was actually the Kings of the SEC and Bama was a mid level program when Honestly without Bama being on probation LSU doesn't beat Bama in 04.05 and 06. Pretty much the same ratio as today. ALso, if a player says something like "we will dominate this game, Bama has no chance" and we say oh good, bulletin board material they will say well yea he's supposed to say we suck. No, not saying that at all but they go to extremes. No one, as you pointed out has said LSU will suck or be bad, we just said we could be good too and until they are dethroned more than once Bama should be the favorite as we lose players every year and seem to plug another in (which I think bothers them too that we have this ability) but their hatred from Saban coming here became so deep that they literally can't distinguish between dislike and hate. It's all hate or nothing which is a disturbing mental state.

One day, they will be right and we will have an 8 win season and then they will be 1 and whatever on their predictions. Until it's proven that Bama drops off when they lose players you have them as the favorite going in. If you don't bow at the feet of Mike the Tiger then you are disrespecting LSU and biased towards Alabama when Bama deserves to be given the benefit and LSU, quite frankly, does not.
LSU will be tough. So will Ole Miss, State, Arky, etc. Its the SEC and everybody is pretty good but the road to the championship is gonna have to go through Bama and LSU keeps waiting on early -mid 2000's to return to Bama and with probation they won't.

a couple of guys you have listed on the two deep aren't even on the team or haven't played a down yet for the tide.

what made the bama "D" so tough last year wasn't the starting front seven. It was the seven backups. These guys gained valuable experience in '14 as the backups.

The projected backups for '16 don't have nearly the overall game experience as the '15 front seven subs.

Over time it will come but I don't think the '16 front seven is nowhere as deep and talented as the '15 group was.

Only time will tell.
