How recent we talking about? Because I'm pretty sure the series is tied with the two coaches we have now.

Yeah, really few past Bama on that running game.
He also fails to realize that we passed more than LSU did.

Athleticism comes into play in pass pro and LSU Oline is very suspect in obvious passing situations.
Myth. Hard to pass block for 15 seconds which is about how long both of our fricking QBs liked to hang on to the ball. Hopefully we'll see that change this year.

What's so funny about calling a preaseason all american entering his 3rd year as a starter on the best line in the country better than a sophomore that couldn't crack the starting 5 at LSU? Homer much? WTF has collins proven other than he couldn't beat out anyone on a line that was bent over in january, to the point les considered it unfair to put lee back there for fear of lots and lots pain

Fluker has done nothing to warrant being called great
Did mingo or montgomery lay a hand on mccarron in 2 games? Mingo beat fluker inside on a 3rd and short and stopped a run for no gain, but other than that those 2 got handled. Fluker will be a first round draft pick, don't be such a hater asteRICK

We all know that Les and LSU put more importance on that conference championship dealio. That NC shite is overblown and meh.

The defense was fine that season. The offense was to blame for the LSU and Auburn losses.
I think USC would have beaten every team in the country the day they played us. Save for Garcia throwing it out of the end zone, they played a nearly flawless game.

Montgomery sacked McCarron twice on 11/5.
2 out of his 8 sacks on the year.

Was one of those the fetal position sack in overtime? I'd have to go back and rewatch but I don't remember either just beating fluker other than mingo's nice inside move on 1/9 that stopped lacy for no gain. IIRC montgomery was playing across from jones though, not fluker

You asked a question. I answered it.

what's that got to do with someone scoffing at the idea that a 3rd year starter/all american is better than a kid with minimal snaps under his belt? If I said Cyrus Koundjio was better than Faulk LSU fans would shite a brick

The LSU line will be very talented this year, probably as talented as it has ever been. I look for Faulk and Collins to both explode and have great years, and we have quality depth there. However, BOTH of our QB's didn't hang onto the ball forever, that was solely JJ. Whether you liked JL or not, he did get rid of the ball very quickly. I expect lsu will have a much improved offense this year at every position.

Most of Bammer Nation says and believes this anyway.

I meant the irony of you accusing of someone being a homer in this specific thread.

I wasn't making an excuse, I was asking a legitamate question because I don't remember the sacks...Those are 2 first round draft picks that were contained for the most part though, and again I don't remember fluker being the man whipped on any of the sacks given up to LSU.
He has a lot to work on in pass protection, but he more than held his own against mingo and is a dominant run blocker. There's not a program in the country that would have DJ fluker on the bench but rick tries to downplay his talent because he wears crimson

Collins was a true freshman last year, not many TF crack the starting lineup for a national championship contending team, unless there is desperate need. Collins was the number one OL coming out of high school, and from all indications has exploded going into his sophomore year. I think you will regret this post. Not knocking your guy at all, but Collins is going to bea a beast. I will bookmark for you.
