He offense was fine till the last few year. He seems to want to show how smart he is and it's killing his offense
Everyone has it figured out. They all bought the blockbuster book and video that explains the system. The Guster made a few bucks on sales, but has fricked up his coaching career.
It's over.

Absolutely agree. That bullshite he runs is bullshite ×10 and it's bad for the game. Get him the frick out of there and hire a real coach Auburn.

1. Gus' offense has been figured out. Hence, the last few years his offenses have been shitty.
2. The lucky breaks have run out. If they catch the tip drill Saturday night, the barners would be like 15-0 ship. Nice to see the bullshite dumb luck stop finally.
3. Gus is a mediocre coach at best. Without Cam, he's basically a .500 guy. Hence the Birmingham Bowl last season, and probable 6-6/7-5 record this year.

They played Clemson FFS, not South Alabama. I've never seen Auburn fans overreacting so badly in all my life.
Well to be fair they lost to a top 10 Clemson team by only a TD in 2012 and that ended up being a horrible year for them. Not saying the games are alike however.
But I can't see AU winning 10 games with that offense. The fans are frustrated because they had a chance to win the game but mainly due to Gus's offensive play calling they blew it. 7-8 to wins is my prediction.

No one thought after 35-0 to LSU they'd be in the championship game in 2013.

No

He lead the country in 2013 in rushing on the way through the SEC title and to the NC Game. That was 2 seasons ago and the offense was almost as potent in 2014.

What was lucky about last season?

He wasn't the head coach with Cam, so that record doesn't count. He also took the team to the NC with a converted DB at QB.
He needs the right QB to run his system and it will roll just fine. Unfortunately that QB may not be on-campus or may be too young.

I said this on the AU board. That shite Gus ran out on the field last Saturday is the type of shite you run at a D3 school when you have zero talent and no tradition. AU has a long proud history and doesn't need the gimmicks like we saw Saturday night to win. If Gus wants to run that garbage, he needs to find a highschool or d3 school to coach at.

Since you are all over every AU thread posting about the HUNH...

I didn't see hardly any HUNH Saturday. That's part of the problem. Offense had no rhythm, no tempo.

There was nothing hurry up no huddle about Saturday night. Hurry up full retard is more like it.

I think we can win 10 games this year. I think as soon as JJ is gone we can also get an offense going too... If we held Clemson to 19 points I think we can do great things. Our O-Line HAS to improve quick.

With the defense alone, we could win 10 games. But our offense is absolutely atrocious. The insanely bizarre offensive approach we used against Clemson with multiple quarterbacks in a series and all sorts of different formations (the wing t??) won't win very many games. The problem is that Gus thinks he's right all the time and won't change course. And it's a shame for the players who worked their arse off to win that game.

I feel bad for the defensive players like I felt bad for the offensive players in 2014.

I really wish White would assume command of the offense and refuse to come out of the game the next time he sees JJ lumbering on the field after a first down because Gus has a hard on for throwing a bubble screen for a three yard loss. I think he'd get a standing ovation from the crowd if he did.

Auburn does not have enough talent at skill positions to be able to hang with some teams. If Auburn would change their offense style to one more like Pat Dye ran. Ground game and clock control(time of possession, keep defense rested). Gus's stuff aint worked in some time now.
Posted on 9/5/16 at 5:50 pm to PorkSammich
Agreed it is a complete waste of talent

Because he's become so obsessed with proving that he was right about JJ that he's literally lost his mind instead of just conceding the fact that JJ was a bust and shouldn't be playing QB at the college level.
