'Sneaks in' with 2 wins ? Hell, they have to take them if they 'sneak' 3 wins.

I agree that 2 wins doesn't make it a done deal. HUGE help yes but if conference tournaments break bad for bubble teams then Aub is outside looking in. Last 10-12 been great for the other tigers but w/o a decent ooc win they just won't pass other bubble teams.

Polls don't mean shite. Utah State was in the top 25 a few years back and got left out. They are meaningless.

I hope AU gets a #1 seed in the NIT. That would be very fitting for Auburn.

Well this will all be irrelevant when Auburn wins the SEC Tournament anyway.

Well, look on the bright side. We are at least not Alabama where the team sucks so bad they might not even be good enough for a bid to the CBI, much less the NIT.

As they should, but that's assuming they were good enough to receive a bid to that tournament anyway. Have fun staying at home during the postseason.

top 5 teams not rated in top 10. My bad. I should not have left that out.

Just not as satisfying to say that after basketball season, is it?

Have fun in the NIT. Look on the bright side, there's always women's hoops.

For one, I'm a firm believer we can keep our hot streak going for one of two more games and get into the NCAA.

Second, NIT > No Postseason at all.

I disagree. The NIT is worthless. Would you really brag about winning the NIT?

I wouldn't brag about winning the NIT, but I would point out to anyone that missed the postseason that our season was better than their own.

NIT > No postseason, and that is not even an argument. Now, if we were talking about the CBI being better than no postseason, I'd agree with you.

Being a #1 seed in the NIT is similiar in principle to going to the Cotton Bowl. Sure, you didn't get into a premier BCS Bowl, but it is much better than missing a bowl game altogether, or say, going to the GMAC Bowl (the CBI in this analogy). That's probably the best analogy I can give on my stance.

Nothing in the world wrong with the NIT.

Should teams that win BCS bowls or maybe the Citrus,Gator and Holiday be the only ones to be excited about winning their bowl game ?

Nobody would brag about winning the NIT, but it would be good for your seniors to go out on a somewhat positive note...and more practice and a tournament-like atmosphere for your younger players.
