All she has to say is that Bobby gave me a job in exchange for our "inappropriate relationship" and then told me I could only keep it only if I provided certain services. He said, she said. Hostile work environment. Might be total bs but without something else to refute it, the case would probably get to a jury.

If Arkansas keeps Petrino they will want this go away as quickly and as quietly as possible. The only way to make that happen is to make sure Jessica's mouth stayed shut. Unless she pulls a Vince Foster, she is going to get paid.

Pretty much but I think he may have moved to domestic violence which is even worse than a bad motorcycle ride.
Dubose pulled a similar stunt although I think the reports that he had an affair with one of his direct employees was wrong.
And of course, Mike Price got canned before he ever coached a game for inappropriate behavior.
The interesting question would be what would have happened to Price if he had gone 11-1?

Well most info was that the affair was going on way before she was hired.
It would be pretty hard to claim sexual harassment when they were in an "inapropriate relationship" proir to her applying.
I could be wrong, but I think she would have to file a sexual harassment claim to the university first, in which it would be investigated before it could go trial. If it was proven that they were in a relationship before the hiring took place it would never see trial.
She will get paid though to stay quiet though.

Hold on, cowboy - that's not "hostile work environment" (which is somewhat subjective), that's straight up quid pro quo, and a much stronger case for sexual harassment.
Bobby's bigger problem lies (and I don't know the answer) in how much of a role he played in getting her the current job. The more it was, the worse it is for him. That is the misconduct that could be the grounds for voiding his contract, which would make this particular piece of a$$ very, very expensive.

Employee filed a sexual harrassment suit against Dubose. (and won I believe)
Dubose won the SEC Championship the next year.

Those that assume Jessica won't get paid also probably think that she is Petrino's only indiscretion. I bet she isn't and I also bet she isn't the first one who worked for the athletic department.
Jessica suing or filing a claim against UA would open Petrino and the administration up to questions re other instances/who knew what/etc. She may be a gold digger but if you think she isn't going to be one of the top twenty paid university employees in the State of Arkansas in 2012 you are out of your mind.

Sexual Harrassment must be unwanted attention or pressure from a co-worker or supervisor.
Mutually consensual relationship does not fall into sexual harrassment.
If the relationship started prior to her applying for the job and since she would not have been a university employee when the relationship started it would be very hard for her to show that she was sexually harassed.
