AD is going to impale himself on the sword he falls on it so hard. He will say Urban told him and he (Gene Smith) said not to act until investigation was completed. Smith will say he dropped ball on investigation and that it was urban's call to fire when the latest incident came to light a few weeks ago.

Urban stays, reputation is hit, but not as bad, ESPN has an interview with Urb where he paints himself as having played it all right except media days, and it all blows over by 9/1.

Usually I'd agree with you. Ohio State has a rich history of rank hypocrisy. This is the sort of thing they cover up and then go back to talking about how morally superior they are to SEC schools.

However... this is happening at the same time as the Ohio State doctor sexcapades. The Ohio State leadership is already getting hoisted up by their short and curlies right now. Throwing Urbz to wolves to show that "they do things right" probably looks really appealing to a bunch of folks who might be staring down the barrel of losing their jobs.

Problem for Meyer is if this falls under the Title IX clause of his contract he was to report to the Title IX Coordinator, not the AD.

Nope. ESPN finna feast. Veritas story gains traction. 60 minutes parades out Courtney Smith as domestic violence survivor. "Independent Committee" recommends retraining for Urban and a 2 game suspension. Nationwide backlash occurs. Recruits start decommitting and donations start dropping. Urban takes a leave of absence at the end of the year which becomes another retirement next summer.

There's people here that are still insisting he'll be fired?

You guys have to move on. It's already been swept under the rug.

Story title buried in the sporting section of today's Chicago Sun Times:

"Ohio St. trustees' group will head Meyer probe"

layman's terms-

"After an extensive investigation and review, we've found that Urban Meyer acted in accordance with the rules and stipulations of his job title and in accordance with his contract terms."
YOU SAID THE SAME THING ABOUT BRILES-

first of all.

Secondly, of course they are trying to cover it up. The AD knew. He'd have to go , too. Remember how it eventually reached the entire upper administration at Pedd State, too.

i mean, that's why this is actually an easy decision. The President steps in and fires AD Smith AND Meyer. Think about it like this, That's THE Ohio State and all that. They can always get a coach. Hell , they could have Tressell back LMAO. It's not like a lot of schools who would worry about who the replacement is.

He now admits he knew and was just being a lying , smug lil bitch at B1g Media Days. He retained a coach who repeatedly choked his wife. The kind of guy who still has the gall to say, "I never hit her" over and over again. But he DID choke her, shove her, pin her down and yell in her face. He never denies that.

Dude is abusive AF. He did that shite b/c she caught him fricking co-eds and lying about it. SCUM fricking BAG. Yet, Meyer kept dude. Dude was their WORST coach on staff- only one who hadnt had a raise in YEARS- They are both SCUMBAGS of the highest order. Take a look at Zach's own words to his sweet wife (whom many of you abusive frickSTICKS have slandered over and over on here)-

' a screen grab of a text exchange that he said was between Courtney Smith and Zach Smith.

"Think about the past ... think back to the cheating the lies and picking me up by my neck strangling me in Punta Cana and at our place in April. The abuse got worse bc u couldn't stand me catching u in ur lies," Courtney Smith wrote.

"I know!!!!" Zach Smith replied.

"Now u continue ur lies," Courtney Smith said.

"I'm so sorry!!!!" Zach Smith said.

"Such a slap in my face. Just stay away," Courtney Smith responded.'

BTW, for what it's worth, I have beat no less than 6 pieces of shite down for this in my life. Sister's ole man, neighbor dude, etc. SIX times. This guy is just like all the rest.

Yep, that was what I was going to post. He has to report it to either the Title IX Coordinator and/or the OSUPD, who will then also notify the Title IX Coordinator. That's the same procedure on every campus because it's part of USDOE compliance protocol.

So, even in his come-clean confession letter, CUM is lying.

Which he says that he did...that he "followed protocol."

If the investigation shows that he did not, he's gone, one way or the other.

On the other hand, if he did follow protocol...and there will be evidence in the form of emails as well as corroboration by the official he reported to...no one likely is going anywhere, and certainly not Meyer. tOSU will come out with some statement about how their protocol needs to be improved, they'll commit to doing that, maybe shuffle a couple of people around, yada yada yada, but that's it.

Urban Meyer didn't just fall off the back of the cabbage truck. He isn't going to issue a carefully prepared statement stating that he "followed protocol" unless that can be verified.

How so? He never said that he did or didn't report to the Title IX coordinator. He did say that he "followed protocol", and if that's the protocol, then there you go.

The university will easily be able to confirm or deny if he did...which they haven't done yet...so anyone saying Meyer lied about that is jumping the gun. Maybe he did, maybe he didn't...but do you really think Meyer would issue a carefully worded statement stating that he "followed protocol" if that couldn't be verified? I don't.
