So..... Just because you beat, or Arky's case, almost beat the number 1 team in the country doesn't mean you'll win the game after.

Ole Miss lost 2 straight after beating Florida last year.

No they didnt, the Offense for Stoerner was very different from the one Jones ran. WR always tip plays by alignment in every offense, just like D-Lines tip coverages on Defense.

Not my logic.

I think Markusson will be very huge in this game. In my opinion, he is one of the top OL coaches out there. I am very positive he has the Chutes and Sleds ready this week and since he "coached" most of the upper classman he will know strengths and weakness more than Austin/Nutt that is why I think the Ole Miss running game may be huge factor.

If you have seen my posts in the past, I've been very complimentary of Markuson b/c he is one of the best Oline coaches for running games. That is why I have been shocked their offensive line has not played better this season.

Maybe this will be a breakout game for them but they have been less than impressive so far. (I'm not counting the Bama game either).

Do you really think their offensive line has been a typical Markuson line this season?

NO they arent a typical one at all. They remind me more of a Grimes OL. That is why I keep mentioning Chutes and Sleds. He uses that as a external motivator and a punishment. Since the staff wants this game probably even more than the Egg Bowl, I think they are in extra use, with the meetings being on field dressed.

Nutt can be very predictable when he is playing it close

I expect the kitchen sink to be thrown at us, but I'm telling everyone who will listen. The deep ball is there against our defense.

The one advantage the Arkansas staff has is that Bobby Allen coached with Hootie and Markuson for so long. It should be a fun game to watch.

Huh? You don't need an insider to figure out Nutt's gameplan.

Our advantage is we have one of the top coaches in the game, versus their buffoon led staff of nobody's.

As did Hampton and Jones. I think if Sorahan would have panned out he would have been given more, but he was just terrible in technique and leadership ability. Matt Sorahan may have been the worst QB at Arkansas since the Early 90's, including Lunney, Jr. But to Lunney's credit he would fight for it.

Interestingly, they used a variation of what Ford and Ford's last OC installed in the 98 season. They transitioned more to Hootie's offense in 99.

In my opinion, I wished they would have kept Felker and Ferguson. But I understand why you bring your own guys in and want to keep your own guys.

Sorahan started against Vegas in Little Rock when they played Jones and Jacklson also

That game right then you knew they had made a bad decision signing him late.

Oh yeah. Did you hear how the Ferguson deal went down? It was ugly.
