I don't think any fans of any team think they support a program better than Alabama; that would be impossible. If someone thinks that, they are fools.
That wasn't the point of the post. I wanted to draw attention to how A&M fans warned us about the unearned arrogance and smug attitudes of Texas fans. They were more right than anyone here could have ever imagined.
Longhornians behave as if their chosen team has been successful over a large span of time, like a blueblood, but have virtually no achievements to give them this personality.
It's bizarre. A parallel would be fans of a team like Texas Tech strutting around and spouting off like they are one of the best teams to ever come down the pike.
I just don't understand why the false bravado and misplaced confidence is so commonplace among Longhornians.
Do all of you imagine the Longhorns to be a team that even takes football that seriously?
