I was still in mourning because of Orlando Lundie.
The BC-Miami game was a Friday game, which was still rare at the time. The Hurricanes were the defending national champions. Obviously, Flutie had Star power and he wound up finishing his career as the the all time leader in passing yards. BC had beaten Alabama earlier that season in Legion Field BTW. As others have mentioned, we didn’t have 60 different games to choose from in those days. It was an exciting game with an amazing finish that everyone who cared about college football was watching.
