But again, Alabama is going to have to take at least 4 DBs in the 2012 class. There are three seniors and Kirkpatrick may leave early.

People often interchange the terms as well. I wouldn't read that much into it. Alabama obviously has to replace outgoing DBs, of which there may be four of.

This. Bama will have 3 CBs gone after this year and possibly one gone after next year. CBs are a premium for Bama in this class and I would expect us to take a minimum of 3 and maybe even 4.

Exactly. Another DB to go along with Williams before the season, and then 2 more, maybe including Chris.

Everyone seems to be hung up on this part as much as the "DB" part. Bottom line - Bama will take 3-4 CBs in this class. It sounds like if Chris has his grades in order, which Yamammasprofile seems to think is a big IF, then he has a chance to be one of them. If he doesn't, he won't be.
I would imagine Bama gets these three CBs:
Smith, Dixon, Jones
And possibly one other of these:
Humes or Bush

He will have all kinds of tutors at Spain Park this year, and a easier schedule. Plus his mindset has changed durastically. Id say 80%
