Tasmin Mitchell isn't at LSU anymore. And looking at the LSUs recruiting class right now, they could never dream of competing with UK and UT.

Bruce Pearl despite coaching a somewhat loose and at times sloppy system of ball, that allows the players much freedom, still is a much cooler man that cares for his players and recruits gangbuster, due to it. His players love him. Most of Brady's hate him.
Also, though at times, despite Pearl's teams appearing too defensively unsound, or soft inside some years, does teach the press, good halfcourt sets, great in-bounding sets, spacing, excellent shooting from the arc his entire career, ball rotation, advancing the ball quickly and without the dribble, etc..
Brady's strength's were defense and rebounding. His teams were woefully inept at breaking the press, and mostly pathetically archaic in running those lazy lob skip-pass offenses of yesteryear..often requiring the entire shot-clock without finding one decent look to launch.

I'm sorry you are right, I was arguing Pearl vs Johnson. I full heartedly believe Brady is a better coach than Johnson.

My logic is sound, Pearl has a better all time and tournament record than Johnson. You are just trying to justify LSU hiring such a mediocre coach. I know I went through it with Kiffin, while Johnson doesn't conduct himself as a huge arse he is certainly as mediocre

I didn't try to flame the board, I started a thread priasing Anthony Grant who in my opinion could coach circles around Trent Johnson. LSU fans came in touting a coach who has yet to prove he can do anything but have a .400 record at stanford.

Johnson took over a team recruited entirely by Brady. Thats my point, Brady while a shitty coach recruited NBA talent.
