Eventually, the earlier rounds will be folded into the conferences as they do semi-finals for the conference championships. (This has the added bonus of properly seeding the conferences for further selection into the CFP, too.) When the B1G and SEC are responsible for over eighty percent of the revenue and sixty percent of the viewership, there's no rationale for sharing as much revenue as they currently are under the new, CFP format. The SEC would rake-in the cash with a rotating postseason in Atlanta, Dallas, Nashville, and New Orleans.
