If Alabama and Ole Miss win, Alabama gets in the playoff.

If Alabama wins and Ole Miss loses, Alabama is in a must win in the SECCG because a loss would allow teams like Vandy to jump them in.

They aren't getting jumped by a team they beat because of having to play in the championship game.

If Bama and Ole Miss lose, it's A&M vs Georgia in SECCG. Even if A&M loses in Austin.

edit: read your post wrong, but response is still accurate for reference

With three losses, they are out.

Why, exactly? If anything, Ole Miss getting another loss helps us out. It would have no bearing whatsoever on our SOS as we didn't play either OM or MSU

If this is true, then it really doesn't matter what happens in the Egg Bowl

If a 2-loss SECCG participant who was in the field the week prior to championship week losses then gets taken out of the field, you can expect that SECCG to be the last or one of the last that ever get played.

Disney really runs this CFP. There is a reason why Alabama got left out last year and it has nothing to do with 3 losses being a magical damning number: its that if SMU was left out, the ACC was going to do the same thing with their CCG and everyone else would follow suit to not be at a disadvantage.
