Basketball and Baseball should be weighted more, since it is determined by the "on the field" performances. Football has always been a beauty contest.

Or you could just do it by records in games vs other SEC teams. Seems pretty on the field performancish to me.

Put the scores next to the teams so we can see how close they are to the team above them.

Why? Because it hurts Georgia? Making the tournament is a widely agreed upon general sign of low level success in a season. It would be dumb as hell to ignore that.

I agree

You used: Football All-time AP Rankings

With the Bowl tie-ins, the final rankings many times had a boost by playing subpar teams from weaker Conferences. Many times SEC teams were matched up against teams from the ACC, Big 10 or non-P5 teams. Teams final records and rankings depended more on TV matchups vs quality of the opponent. Again, a beauty contest.

I used CFB Warehouse Recognized Titles because most seem to think it is a pretty good list and it covers titles back to the 1900s that everyone fights over but doesn't just give it to whoever "claims it". It also picks some that may be AP and gives it to others (Arkansas/Bama in 1964 for example).

Their totals
1. Alabama (15)
2. LSU (4)
2. Tennessee (4)
4. Auburn (3)
4. Florida (3)
6. Georgia (2)
6. Ole Miss (2)
6. Texas A&M (2)
9. Arkansas (1)
10-14. Kentucky, State, Missouri, South Carolina, Vandy (0)

That's funny. Georgia Fans bitched for there to be a change in the point system and Florida fans get screwed.
