Alabama sat on the ball and rested on their laurels, no doubt about that.

When Shipley made it obvious that he would be a one man wrecking crew if need be, Alabama woke up and made the plays that needed to be made. After that fumble, Texas was completely destroyed.

and the question was why saban took the ball out of mcelroy'z hands. and all the gumps said that they were dominating, when in reality it was a 3 point game with 3 minutes left

Why throw it when we were running all over them? We had two backs go over 100 yards. The passing game wasn't needed.

It's not hard to stop someone when all they do is run up the middle three times then punt. All we did in the 2nd half was run up the middle on O and play zone on D. UT took advantage of that but our guys stepped up when the game was on the line.

You shouldn't let flamers determine who you pull for. Every team has crazy fans. If I did that, I wouldn't have pulled for LSU in 07. Most Bama posters I've seen on here are reasonable but you have some crazy ones too. Same goes for every fanbase on here.

My favorite quote still remains "Colt McCoy's hurt shoulder was the MVP of the game." That's funny shite and a major development whether Gumps want to say it or not.

I haven't heard or read a single Bama fan saying McCoy's injury didn't affect the game. My argument is that it was a football injury suffered during a football play.

Of all the poster who keep pointing to McCoy's injury as something that tainted the game, none have been willing to point to the section of the rulebook that requires the game be postponed if one team's star QB gets hurt.

Of course it changed the game...Both sides completely changed their play calling. No doubt that it would have been a different game, but I think most would agree that the end result would still have been the same. It is not like Colt hurt his shoulder falling down the steps, he was drilled by our more physical team.
