Hopefully Auburn fans will rally behind this program, too, and we can raise them from the dead!

Alabama baseball fans. Even though it's been a long time since we were nationally relevant, we do have fans. People would see that if we weren't so terrible to watch.

I think that the thing that is not being said, is that yes, it is hard for fans to go to games when the team is terrible, i.e. Bama baseball right now, LSU basketball when they are terrible. The difference is although LSU was terrible and fans didn't show up, we cared and were upset at how bad we were and didn't say "who cares" about basketball. Not paying for tickets when the team sucks is human nature. Not caring about the sport when the team sucks is frontrunning.

Alabama AD trying to kill the baseball program by retaining Mitch Gaspard

No one said it was unique. Your fan base is the biggest and Bama has the most frontrunners. I'm not sure if it is just because the fan base is the biggest or if Bama fans are disporpotiantely poor and stupid relative to other fan bases. Frankly, it doesn't matter. The point remains.

Who are you kidding? If you quizzed TEN average joe LSU fans in the muddy swamps of Louisiana, I bet all ten couldn't name LSU's baseball coach. LSU's baseball stadium doesn't seat 100k people and there's a reason for that. Stop acting as if Alabama fans are the only collegiate fanbase that doesn't support a gay, boring arse sport. How does LSU's baseball ratings compare to football? What about internet chatter? Merchandise sales? The majority of your fanbase could give a shite less about it as well and you're delusional if you sincerely believe otherwise...

And how did you come to his conclusion, Socrates ??
What, did you set up a demographic research study and obtain representative samples of the "majority of our fanbase" (which would number in the hundreds of thousands)?
And so, only the 10,000 or so purple and gold souls
that attend games at Alex Box "give a shite" about LSU baseball? No one else. NOBODY ELSE ??????????

I guess the nation's leading attendance program for this "gay boring arse" sport in Baton Rouge, along with Arkansas, USC, Miss State, Florida, Vandy, Auburn, A&M et al, are all "delusional" too?

And since you stooped to an inane, rather bizarre insult, I feel compelled to respond in kind:
(and this is NOTTTTTT directed at other Bama fans)

If you quizzed TEN average Joe Bama fans in the run down train-track mobile home parks of Alabama, would all ten be able to name Alabama's baseball coach??
Gymnastics coach?? Softball coach??
