I'm well over 22, and the title of this thread is, how has the dynamic changed in Texas with Big XII folks. I was responding to one of your ags and agreeing with his thoughts that the dynamic hasn't changed all that much -- in terms of how BigXII folks deal with A&M folks.
Well your opinion is misinformed and built out of a desire to slight A&M. Houston is now an A&M/SEC city, Austin is giving A&M higher rating than they've ever had, and as a teasip you have no perspective on how others act towards Aggies. So you're not only ignorant to the truth, your shallow world view is being challenged and you're willfully admitting that you're keeping your head in the sand. It's hilarious.
quote:
It really hasn't since A&M doesn't play BigXII all that often.
We beat the 2012 One True Big 12 Champions in a Bowl Game. Smashed them, actually.
quote:
Now the SEC obsession would exist whether or not A&M were still in the BigXII, because A&M still wouldn't be doing anything in football, Texas would still be in the doldrums, and Baylor, TCU and OU wouldn't have won the big games in football.
So you're admitting there is an obsession, but that A&M is now in the SEC has absolutely nothing to do with it? Not even diminishing it or downplaying it, but saying it doesn't exist? Freud would have a field day with you. I can't stop laughing at how insecure you sound.
quote:
Big XII people tend to look at recent developments as a trade between West VA and TCU for A&M and Mizzou. Long term, that's a football wash.
And yet, not a single member of the SEC would think that long term a small private school in Ft. Worth will matchup with A&M, and the SEC scoffed at the idea of adding WVU even though they were begging for membership. On one hand, your insecure little teasip brain thinks that once tu returns to power, but Baylor and Purple Baylor will remain just as strong? The mental gymnastics you perform are outrageously hilarious.
quote:
Once again, you are mistaking BigXII folks being jealous of the SECs real and perceived success in football and BigXII folks being jealous of A&M.
A&M is an SEC member. Big 12 folks are jealous of a school that jumped out of their dumpster fire situation in to a better one. They are jealous of all SEC schools, A&M especially because they stood up for themselves.

You have contempt for a female Corps Commander. By definition, that makes you a misogynist and a sexist.
I think we've found Randolph Duke's alter.

So how often does this conversation above take place between A&M folks and Baylor/Texas/TCU/Texas Tech folks?

Have you seen the responses from their posters here? They're several orders of magnitude worse than the worst Arkansas and LSU trolls.
At least with the SEC schools, the butthurt is limited to the field of play. These arse clowns push it into the workplace.

Usually whenever they talk shite to Aggies at work unprovoked. Or when they register an account on an SEC website to talk shite about A&M. Or when they tweet at our recruits to talk shite about A&M. Or when they write an op-ed piece in Texas Monthly to talk shite about A&M. Or when their AD talks shite about A&M. etc

But seriously y'all, they REALLY hate OU

I've never had a conversation like that in real life with a Texas or Tech grad. I don't really know any Baylor folks and TCU people tend to leave us alone in my experience.
The shite talking that I've experienced has typically centered around our QBs transferring and it's been exclusively from Texas and OU folks. The Tech people I know have really softened their stance on us since we left which has surprised me. They fricking despised us when we were in the Big 12. I dunno if it's Kliff or they respect us for telling Texas to frick off but something changed
If Texas manages to get decent at playing football again I'm sure they'll be insufferable
The Texas folks I know are also somewhat rational people unlike the mouth breathers that compose their internet fanbase

Living in Dallas and having Sooner buddies as well, I'd say the "SEC is overrated" conversation happens with them a solid number two behind the teasips. The Sooners are more frustrated by it than tu fans, IMO. Baylor and TCU(I can't emphasize enough how small these fanbases are) are just nervous that their house of cards is going to come crumbling down(A&M has won their last 24 in a row against TCU and 23 of the last 25 against Baylor) and Tech fans have just as much contempt for the situation as anyone. I know they straight up envy us and wish they did the same, so the trash talk with them hasn't changed much.

I think the best thing about the move is that it allows the rest of the country to see first hand the true nature of t-sips.
The shitty posters you see here are NOT the exception, but the rule. The reasonable longhorn graduates are the EXCEPTION.

You are lucky. Almost every teasip whom I've had the unfortunate opportunity to work with has talked shite about A&M unprovoked. Baylor fans don't exist and Tech fans live in Dallas so I wouldn't know about them.

I only work with one t-sip and she's one of the more reasonable people I've ever worked with. Maybe it's because she was an ADC for an Aggie General, or maybe it's because their ROTC cadets are treated like complete shite by their classmates.

Hey, I was just agreeing with texag7. Didn't mean to freak you the frick out.

Hey, I can't argue with your Football National Championship in 2012. No one can take that away from you.

Alabama actually winning National Championships (and the tickle down that comes from that) has everything to do with it.

I've got no opinion of the SEC mindset. Just talking about the BigXII mindset.

Never implied that. But when Texas does return to power, West VA and TCU v. A&M and Mizzou will still be a wash, football wise.

Love the way you Aggies think everyone is jealous of you. It's precious.
Big12 schools being jealous of "all the SEC schools" is a cute twist.

Well there you go. It is generally the (fat) white male teasips who talk shite about A&M because they know their university's presence in this state is dying and their alumni and city don't represent the state or its people and it makes them scared.

I've got two teasip buddies I communicate with on a group chat almost daily. One of them is more rational as a human being, but as an orangebloods member buys in to every bit of their groupthink. The other is a George Washington Law School grad, and his elitism has reached bounds I didn't know were possible.

Texas returning to power would require humility on the part of their donors and/or the NCAA smashing Baylor, TCU, and Oklahoma. None of which will happen.

They hired Charlie Strong because he is black like A&M's coach. That is literally the only reason he was heavily considered after embarrassing themselves with the Saban thing.

Posted on 3/11/16 at 9:06 am to Gradual_Stroke
Strong is turning out to be more of a perfect fit for them than we realized.

Though I'm surprised Charlie hasn't been bleach bombed, living in Austin and all.
