No way in hell will aggy finish with a top 5 class
Actually Jimbos average class rank is about 6. So while top 5 would be a surprise to most here, statistically speaking, it would not be out the norm that much.
I think many will be surprised just how fast A&M moves up assuming they have a decent season.
Everyone wants to color Aggy as some one in a blue moon thing but Jimbo is a national champion coach, at a school with tons of resources with plenty of NIL money to go around.
Ignoring all this and believing they are the same ole Aggy might be a touch short sighted.
That being said, they are Aggy and they can Aggy it up like they have in the past.
But all they actually are missing is wins. If they win, they will keep recruiting well.

Your not gonna believe this, but I have a degree from both schools.
How about doing all of us a huge favor and replace your Longhorn Logo w/ an aggy logo and replace “Texas fan” w/ “Texas A&M fan.”
You are an embarrassment and doing a disservice to The University of Texas!
Mathematician? Stay in your lane bro and quit posting about things you know nothing about.

I know quite a bit about statistically modeling and methods for statistical prediction.
And given the average is 6, actually 5.3 I am rounding up, it would be a statistical anomaly for Aggy to finish below 10 with their current standard of deviation.
However, three data points isn’t a lot of data, so the error in estimation here is high, but even with this error, it doesn’t indicate the fall off the cliff results you are hoping for.
Jimbo has finished 9, 6 then 1, in that order, since he arrived and had a full season to recruit. To break that trend and jump out of the top ten would be unlikely.
To finish five, actually would break the trend considerably or even to finish top ten. Mathematically speaking.
It’s possible they could finish outside the top ten, but it would be the one of the worse finishes Jimbo has had if that occurred barring his first season which he had limited time to recruit in.
And as a science guy, with my football hat off, that doesn’t seem likely unless something causes it, like an investigation or a really bad season.
And for the record, I don’t give two itoas, what your preferences are. No, even less than that, not even one.

Why not make hay now and get them on the slate? The season is fast approaching and focuses will be on game plans, personnel match-ups, scheme designs, etc.
This is a misconception for Aggy. Aggy has tons of money. They recruit full time. Yes, direct contact with coaches might be a little harder but we live in the age of the internet. FaceTime calls are very easy to pull off round the clock for the right guy.
So when they look at the risk of recruiting late versus early, I don’t think they agree with your opinion here. I really don’t.
