And you're surprised because?

I love my Barves. And I hate the one game play in bullshite. The Astros could beat the Red Sox in a one game play in.

I hate the one game playoff as well, in baseball you just can't do it like that and I find it asinine they can't find 2 more nights out of the schedule to make it a three game series
And Don't get me wrong I bleed Cardinal red but the Braves have always been my second favorite team.....chipper and bobby cox were badasses.
This is part of the reason why I want us to meet up in the NLCS so badly, I know the best team will win and it will be a clean hard fought series that's how both teams always play, plus it's been since I believe 2000 these two teams have met in the playoffs (I don't count the play in game as "postseason" idc what they say

It would be good. I have no desire for the Braves to go up against Wainwright though. Our ace had season ending surgery. We have Medlen, Minor, and a rookie in Teheran... then whomever Fredi decides to plug in.

Not trying to get sympathy but I think something that has been lost in our great season is the injuries we be had to deal with.
We lost our closer (Motte) second starter (Carpenter) third starter (Garcia). SS in Furcal which has absolutely KILLED us all year. Gone about a month without Molina, Westbrook has been out for half the season, now Craig has been out for two weeks and counting.
I haven't bitched once about injuries bc I know they are a part of sports but it is pretty impressive IMO the season we ve had while losing so many pieces to what we thought would be our opening day roster.
And I still probably forgot someone

Sounds like the Barves. Ridiculous injuries. Our ace had season ending surgery.
Thankfully, Kimbrel has remained healthy.
I don't think it can be debated that he is the best closer in the MLB.
I miss O'Ventbrel though.

I wouldn't try to debate you on Kimbrel, dude is a badass. Never been sold on y'all's young starters though (Medlin, Minor) for whatever reason. However Teheron is a badass.
ETA: seems like Alex Wood could do work

As young as he is... best closer in baseball.

Medlen had a rough first half, but he's looking more like late last season Medlen as of late. Minor, if he isn't caught early in the game, won't be hit most games.

Teheran has the most potential of any starter on the roster. Dude can deal. Still a rookie though.

He's in the bullpen for the rest of the season. Still a rookie, like Teheran though. He did very well when he did start... for the most part.
Damn, I wish we still have Venters and O'Flaherty in the bullpen though. That would make me feel a lot better about the post season.
Would make me feel a lot better if Brandon Beachy was healthy and in the starting lineup too.

Yea, y'all probably have had just as many injury issues as us

Hasn't been easy. The Walgreens Gnats have underperformed though.

I'm sure that's one thing we both have enjoyed
Idk why but ever since ESPN and co. Decided they were the best baseball team ever I enjoy watching them flop

At least that's the way I've always looked at the postseason
