I was in the endzone right in front of where it happened. Every LSU fan pointed out the kid that threw it (It was a bottle). The State Troopers pulled him over the wall, through the bushes and he got fricked up. Also, he got hit a Federal Charge (Endangering an Endagered Species) - was also dismissed from LSU. I'm sure his folks were proud of him
Its a shame too... even the most avid Auburn-haters I know that come to J-H have always enjoyed the eagle flying.
Some people just can't handle their liquor, I guess. I'm just surprised it was an LSU fan that wasn't able to handle it... I always thought better of you guys in that respect.

Though that happened to a friend of mine. His dad was a retired Navy Chief, and his wife's dad was retired O-6, and then he decided to go Army ROTC. Let's just say he realized the folly of his ways about two years in. Now he's in the NUPOC program.
As a student-athlete (football, basketball) in high school, my son decided that working just hard enough to make B's in high school was good enough instead of working harder to make A's.
Then, when he decided to apply for ROTC schollies, those B's prevented him from the Navy and AF schollies... Army was the only one available to him.
Proud of him anyway... still gotta do good to get one of those full-rides.

Why is it that Auburn's Eagle named Tiger is not considered "performing mascot"?
The only reason I could think is that Auburn's official mascot is a Tiger (even though we do fly our eagle).
That's all I got.
