At that time the Big 10 would not let a time go to consecutive Rose Bowls. I’m willing to bet that Mich. ST would have loved to be able to go. I hope you know more about this county’s history than you do about college football history.
I might have typed that poorly. I meant Notre Dame skipped the bowl game as they usually did, not Michigan St.
Notre Dame didn't start playing bowl games until they were no longer exhibition games.

Do you really want to make up fake championships like Alabama? It's unbecoming.
Alabama is the king of claiming national championships from over 100 years ago

Most of us claim one, 1939
I would say 1917 and 1919 should count, both undefeated, untied, not scored upon. But don’t claim them
And yes, insert the titanic “it’s been 85 years” gif
Best part of that 1917 and 1919 time is the upper classmen and the coaching staff went to the war and the 1918 team had a temporary coach and underclassmen players. That team only had 1 loss (Texas 7-0 was the score) and gave up a total of 19 points.
So over 3 years of football A&M gave up a total of 19 points. I believe Tenneseee had a unscored upon season once. Not sure of any others.

False, you don't know college football history.

LSU beat them in the January 1, 1966 Cotton Bowl. That was the first LSU game I ever watched on television, and I started going to the games in the 1966 season. But I will give you 1966 because back then they used to vote for the champion prior to the bowl games.
