So you don't think the coach is serious because what he says doesn't fall in line with your opinion?

yeah I don't think he is. I have a hard time believing he will be a top 5 pick when no one has him going that high except you.

quote:

There is only one credible mock draft guy - Mike Mayock - and even he tells people to take his mock draft with a big grain of salt.

and Mayock has Mallett ranked as his 4th qb what does that tell you?

There are no credible sports journalists. You do realize these are the same people who will do anything - including make shite up or just say plain silly shite - to get reader hits right? You do realize that journalists aren't in it for the credibility but for the popularity which in turn translates to more money in their pockets, right?

some do some don't. Most that talk about the draft that own websites and are responsible for the draft's website take their job seriously.

So who are your experts Adamm? Enlighten me.

Mike Mayock, Wes Bunting, Scott Wright, etc...

What sources? The guy writes almost entirely based on opinions and personal encounters. The guy is well known for sure, but no serious football fan takes King seriously.

what do you mean what sources? When he writes about his personal encounters talking to owners/ gm's/ players/ etc.... He interviews people all the time. I'm not only talking about his monday morning column.

this topic is boring me. You don't listen to anyone other than yourself and you have this great theory that everyone is corrupt and only your opinion matters. you're hard headed and won't listen to reason.

Almost everyone had Clausen as the number one pick early in the process last year. Even near the end, most had him still in the first round. Yeah I'm not going to give a damn about people who are at best taking opinion-based guesses.

except you

Can you show me exactly where I have said Mallett would be drafted? I'll wait. Don't back away from this either. I will call you out on it until you do.

He also has Locker at number 2. Doesn't mean he thinks that's how good they are in comparison to each other, merely where he THINKS they are going. Again the guy himself says to take his board with a grain of salt. That's why he is the best at what he does even though it is highly flawed.

Because they want to make money. They don't care about credibility as much as they do about hit counts/page views so they can tout that to advertisers for more money.

Come on now, this is elementary level stuff Adamm.

Wes Bunting

That guy is a complete and utter joke.

He took ONE scouting class at a joke of a school (no one in the field respects that school one damn bit. It's like a community college course for sports business) and then has a degree in journalism. His opinion is just that a biased opinion that in no way should be taken as fact or that seriously.

quote:

Scott Wright

He's in virtually the same boat. Got a degree in journalism and thinks he's an expert. People just like you believe everything he says lockstep and that's why he has become so popular.

Don't get me wrong, I use to read these mock draft sites as well, until I realized they were basically guesses backed by the writers feelings/bias.

quote:

When he writes about his personal encounters talking to owners/ gm's/ players/ etc.... He interviews people all the time

And those articles seldom have to deal with the game on the field. If you want to know what New York Jet back up is a nice guy or had a interesting high school life, then yeah King is your guy. If you want to read about the random events/observations of a sports journalist, then read all the King you want.

Just don't act like he's some great sportswriter just because a shitload of people read him.

Now sit down and shut the frick up. You may want to go ahead and start writing that apology letter.

I'm STILL waiting for you to point out where I projected Mallett to be drafted. Don't pussy out now Adamm. Prove yourself or admit that yet again you are wrong.

actually Clausen's stock was slipping leading up to the draft. I know his was with me anyway. Apparently he interviewed poorly. *shock* leadership is one of his biggest issues. I guess the sources were right.

Unless Mallet stays at Arkansas this year or has his right arm hacked off, I don't see any scenario where Newton is taken over him

LINK

Mallet = Joe Flacco.

LINK

implies to me you think he is an early 1st rounder.

if they wanted views why would they all be saying the same stuff? Is it not logical to think the site with differing opinions might get more views because others would enjoy a different perspective? No I guess that doesn't fit in with your theory.

Well that certainly had an impact on draft day.

Whatever floats your boat dude.

Same sources. Hell everyone had Bradford going first last year so no one was going to break the mold and say naw, Suh will go first.

Actually they all do have differing opinions. There is currently no consensus number one pick. Hell this is one of more wide open drafts in recent memory.

Who are these most people? You keep saying that yet have no proof or anything of it. From your playbook: Link/source?

Rivals with multiple sources who cover/follow both the NFL and college football > some random guy no one has ever heard of.

My source > your source.

You were wrong and you can't admit it. God I'm going to love watching you exit this board.

Adammwilson, let us know if Bunting responds to your question. I'm seriously interested to see what he says.
