Notre Dame claims 11 titles, but ESPN only recognizes them with 8. Where are the those cries at?
In 1966, while Alabama finished a perfect 11-0, Notre Dame tied in their bowl game finishing 9-0-1.
In 1977, Alabama and Notre Dame both had one loss each. Problem is, Notre Dame lost to a team Alabama beat that year. But who jumps from number 5 to number 1 at the end of the year? Notre Dame (over a number 3 Alabama who blew out Ohio State) after number 1 and number 2 both lost.
Why don't you guys bicker about that. Or 1945 where Alabama finished 10-0, and Army finished 9-0 (and didn't play in a bowl game). If you blast us for losing bowl games, then why not blast teams for not even playing in one (especially the barn in 1957).
Hell, even 3 of Ohio State's 7 titles WERE NOT recognized by the AP or UPI and they were all claimed DURING THE POLL ERA! Why not cry about that?
