Some Universities just can't handle success, with money, with humility, gratefulness, and respect.
Texas A&M is clearly one of those types.
Auburn never wanted you in the SEC, and now we know why.

What does this have to do with the original thread?
Posted on 4/5/16 at 9:50 pm to Mister Tee
What does your shitting on my school have to do with it?

You said Auburn didn't want us here like that means something
That statement carries no weight

I graduated 3 years ago....
Agriculture is big at Georgia. It's a big deal. It does a huge amount of work for farmers all across the south.
I'm glad you agree about Grady. Got one of my degrees there and that degree helped me land me my new job as a financial analyst.
And uga law is very good but it is probably 3rd in the sec and 2nd in the state. Nothing really bring up here.

Your posters have contributed nothing to this whole thread...other than over-confident delusions of self-seeking grandeur.
You remind me of The University of Texas in so many ways.
Your University is better than that, so let us get back on topic, shall we?

Auburn dropped Criminal Justice in 2006 as well. It was just not a popular major, despite being close to Columbus, GA (second largest population in the State of Georgia), Atlanta, and Montgomery.
Crime in those cities, are less than uncommon. It is really an intriguing Major though if that is what you love to do.

Academically, I loved the study. In the real world - it's just not realistic. Well, unless one were to pursue a law degree.

I disagree. My post about A&M being known for beastiality was a valuable contribution.
I guess I will take my comments elsewhere.

My first reply simply listed the 3 studies you asked for and garnished 16 downvotes

The experience alone would be worth it. I know that Case Studies and Abnormal Psychology were huge classes being offered back then.
We just sort of dropped the whole major one year at Auburn.
I guess we just lost the funding. You know how State budgets work from year to year. Either it is funded, or it disappears. Especially for the smaller majors.

The reason why criminal justice is unpopular is because you don't need a degree to do local and most state positions and most federal positions worth their salt require some combination of military/ prior LE experience/ and a masters degree or professional degree. So a criminal justice degree isn't worth that much.

That makes perfect sense. Always wondered about that. Perhaps that is more suited for a Psychology degree anyway.

Criminal justice isn't just law enforcement. I think your statement about needing a military background doesn't sound right.
I do think the non-guard criminal justice jobs are relatively limited, so it is a supply and demand issue. You don't need a criminology department in every school.
When my brother was choosing which school to go to, for some reason it was either Michigan State or Washington State. This was a while back.

Im not going to say it's a written requirment (that's why I said it's a combination) but military automatically get 15 points added onto their application and there are so many leaving the military that it's almost impossible to get into some agencies without a military background. I'll leave it at that.
