I agree that our recruiting MUST get better. We have a top ten class as of today, but will probably be top 15ish when everyone else fills up. I want to believe that Sumlin will be a great recruiter and the early response from kids has been positive but he will also have to win some games he shouldn't to keep kids interested. 4-8 isn't sexy no matter what.

We are working on some serious upgrades to facilities as we speak. New workout facilities, dinning halls, updated locker rooms etc etc. Kyle field is due to get an expansion starting in 2013.

The right steps are being implemented but it's all for shite if you don't win any games. Sumlin has a tall order infront of him. If he has any sort of moderate success next year I will be very pleased. if we go sub .500 (which seems like a very real possibility) we will be in trouble.

First impressions are everything. Great coaches reveal themselves quickly 9 times out of 10.

Sounds like an honest assessment by a knowledgeable fan. I see your QB is a senior. And you have 3 freshman QB's? Who comes out of the pack to lead them next year? I also see that you have a 4* QB in the 2012 class that has 4.4 speed. Are you thinking he can bust in next season? One good QB can make all the difference. Ask AU about that.

A&M is one of the wealthiest universities in america.
That's not new. Why does moving to the SEC make any difference? They will be middle of the pack wherever they go. Been that way for years! Nothing will change. Their dysfunction was only exceeded by Ole Miss in this recent coaching fire/hire.

ETA - their overall record against SEC schools is 58-77 (with just a quick look at datawarehouse). Again, why does moving to the SEC change anything?
