I think the main thing holding A&M back in the rankings is they haven't looked very competitive in their three losses, minus the late 4th quarter push against Auburn, and have been in competitive games with some bad teams.
I know my perception, after only sparingly watching their games this year, was that they were pretty bad. However, after actually looking at their wins/losses it's not as bad as I was thinking it would be. They get a chance to change that perception or solidify it these next two games, so we'll all see how it goes.

A&M was pretty bad at the start of the year, but has continued to get better as the weeks have gone by. New OL coach and scheme will have that effect, especially when playing the likes of Clemson and Alabama in the first four weeks.

I can actually agree with this. We're an above average team. It's just that we had to play two #1s (at the time that we played them) and Barn who was in the top 15. Even as a homer I know we're not great, but we should be 20-25.....although that could change in the next few weeks. You can't lose 5 games and still be ranked no matter how good the competition.

Yes but those are some of the best quality loses that you will find this side of Arizona. Those loses are so good, they are actually better than a win.

They are in the AP and Coaches...but with 0 quality wins I can understand not being ranked in the CFP poll.
