The Ag school students were commonly referred to by State-then Aggies.
Example: Michigan Aggies (MSU) (yes, they were the Michigan Aggies before Spartans)

Kid probably also doesn’t realize that A&M was educating students in college station many years before construction even started on the cow college in Austin
