The teams that have always cheated will still cheat

The settlement pays athletes backdated to 2016
This is stupid. But not surprised with this generation and their entitlement mentality.

Truth
It’s time to quit pretending this is still amateur sports. The only way to level the playing field is a collective bargaining agreement like the NFL where there’s a salary cap, and contracts for the players. If a player wants to transfer then they’ll be subject to the terms of the contract; which at a minimum would require a buyout from the poaching school in addition to whatever they’re paying to lure them away. Of course the buyout would also go against the salary cap.
If an individual player can get a contract with Nike or Gatorade so be it, this is independent of any school caps.
But this is the only way to try and reestablish some sanity and stability. Everyone has to have some skin on the table including the athletes.

I made no declaration that an SEC team wouldn't or couldn't pay the cap in revenue sharing. I actually said most Power 4 teams will hit the threshold. But teams such as Southern Miss, Tulane, Memphis, UAB, and so many more will not always be willing to spend what most won't have, money. They will continue to be the harvest ground for the HAVES, in a college world of HAVE NOTS.
