No, I haven't been in a coma. & my post was showing teams with MULTIPLE ANNUAL rivals...that I would LOVE to see kept as yearly conference games.
If you read my posts, I've said the SEC is going to 9 conf. games. When? I don't know, but due to no 2025 schedule, it MAY BE a 9 game format.
There have been many threads on here about the ideal #. I agree that an even # of conf. games is balanced. HOWEVER, there are +/- for 8, 9, & 10 games. It's just what path you feel is the better choice.
FYI, my response was to GeorgeWest's comment about using the 1-7 format.

9 game home schedules wouldn't be a big deal in Austin and Nashville and to a lesser extent Knoxville and Columbia SC, but losing an extra home game would be a huge deal in little college like Starkville and Athens and Auburn and wherever else. I'd imagine that the Chamber of Commerces and CVBs in all of those cities think that it's the shittiest idea ever.

"CVB"?
But how do they explain so many others in different conferences have been using it for a while?

3-6-6 makes the only sense.
You get three permanent rivals/games. Then alternate 6 and 6 with remainder.
Means you play everyone a minimum of twice every four years. And you don't have stupid shite like A&M, who has been in the SEC for 12 years, only having played Georgia one time.

Yes, that's true.
The issue is those for & against 9 games.
