Franks looked so lost last year. Kid has talent but his head was up his arse last year. I expect Mullen will help him improve.
Not a gator. But as a fan of an opposing team, he has the physical size and athleticism Mullen likes in his qb. Not sure how much Mullen could help him improve his passing, but he has the arm strength.
Expecting to see him put up Fitzgerald type rushing numbers this year. Think some people have pencilled in a juco guy they signed at qb for Florida, but Franks checks at least two boxes you associate with Mullen qb's: Big and can run.

Jordan Ta'amu only had a 164.5 passer rating last season. No reason to expect him to get better with a full offseason preparing as the starter I guess. Maybe if he had some quality WRs to help him out

This list starts with Jarrett stidham.

1. Lock
2. Stidham
3. Bentley
4. Tua
5. Fromm
Lock is a lock: the big question is how much will the offense change with Dooley at the helm at OC, but his UTjr. teams were in the top 3-4 in the SEC in passing offense during his time there, so it may not change too much. Lock has some talented WRs returning with him as well....
Same with Stidham: Gus' offense will allow him to flourish, and he also has several top receivers returning as well...
Bentley is a bit more of a toss-up, depending on the OC change - although that's not a huge change as McClendon was a co-OC beforehand - and the fact that USC's offense hasn't been that great. But the potential is definitely there, and USC should have the deepest and most experienced WR corps in the SEC returning for 2018 for Bentley to throw to....
Tua looks OK, but his sample size is pitiful. But its Alabama and he'll undoubtedly have a host of excellent WRs and a deep OL blocking for him, so.....
Fromm also has questions, due to losing the powerful backfield tandem in Chubb and Michel, which the UGA offense was built around, as well as his top receiver from last season. Fromm had the 5th-most passing yards last season due to this as well as playing in as many as 3 more games as others in the SEC:
I was tempted to place Vanderbilt's Kyle Shurmur ahead of Tua or Fromm - he had more passing yds, more TDs, and a better passing rating in 12 gms than Fromm did in 15. The only reason I didn't was Shurmur's losing two of his top receivers from last season, but he still could end up with better numbers next season if their roster depth develops at WR....

Lock is the best pure passer. Bentley has the tools but needs to be more consistent. Stidham is as good as anyone when he has time. When he had trash around his feet he is not that productive. Tua and Fromm will only get better. Fromm made some huge 3rd down throws vs Bama. I think that will really help him develop. Plus playing in 3 consecutive high profile games at the end of the year and playing well. Lock,Fromm,Stidham, Tua, Bentley

I thought about putting Lock, but it's the same every year with Mizzou QBs. Video game stats against crap teams, nothing much against good teams. And the annoying yardage font on the field, I will never stop hating that.
Well it's clear you don't have a clue...

I actually hope you are right and you guys find a QB, but we heard the same thing about Brandon Harris, Ettling and a couple of other QB's. The problem hasn't been the talent so much as developing. I think Brandon Harris was a 4*. Etling was, too.
Maybe with Harris but I think pretty much everyone finally realized he didn't have it between the ears to handle being a QB. Etling was who he was a game manager but nothing more. Brennan and Narcisse are on a different level, just saying and feel free to downvote away!

do you mean as far as winning or stats? Because Fromm is going to have average QB stats. Where guys like Stidham, Tua and Lock will have the better passing numbers. Just see a lot putting Fromm up top.

It's Tua's time. Bama's about to go a record setting run with Tua behind center. Number 1 dual threat qb coming out of high school his year. Trent Dilfer said he is by far the best qb he has had at the elite 11 camp. He has already tore up an elite SEC defense, in one half. He runs like lightning and he throws like thunder.

Put down the crack pipe. Franks isn't nearly the runner Fitz is.
