An oldie but a goodie.

Jay Barker had his first career start and Kevin Turner (RIP), a senior fullback, rushed for 143 yards. The game also featured some sensational running from the likes of Siran Stacy, Derrick Lassic, and Odell Beckham, Sr., as well as an electrifying punt return by true freshman David Palmer.

LSU had a chance to tie the game late, but Alabama's Antonio London blocked a field goal to preserve the 20-17 victory for the Tide in Tiger Stadium.

I was in the student section at that game. LSU had their chance to tie/win the game at the end of the game, but they chose to not go for it on 4 and 1 near their end zone.

Coach Hallman blew a gasket at the reporter after the game when he asked Curley did he ever consider going for it on 4th down.

There were a lot of Bama fans inside the stadium, and made their presence known in the 1st half. They were mostly quiet in the 2nd half as LSU chipped away at the lead.
