This is the most moral V post On the board… LSU and Arkansas might be heading to the house at the same time but you’re still stuck with van horn (who clearly fricks up a wet dream) and we have a clean slate with a few freshmen all Americans. Dream on bacon bits

Why not save your energy for the games that really mean something? For example the last two games

It’s not like it’s just that easy, that’s why you step on the field and play every game. It’s not like Arkansas was undefeated or even close. They were a very good team without a doubt but not perfect

Baseball can be cruel sport. It values the longevity of an entire season but in a four team Regional or a Super Regional anything can happen.

The SEC has still accounted for itself well. The conference had 9 (14%) of the 64 bids, 6 (37.5%) of those teams advanced to the sweet 16. At this juncture at least 2 (25%) of those teams are going to Omaha. That is pending the State-ND game today.
The ACC is a good baseball league.

“It made us the #1 team for 14 weeks and carried us on to win the SEC Regular Season Championship, and to win the SEC tourney championship as well.

It set a standard for Arkansas to try to continually better themselves by. It raised our profile on the national stage constantly. Even our new training center was spoken of over and over and it is just now ready. #5 recruiting class incoming.

I mean, why make such a thread... Like winning all of the above and the publicity couldn't hurt man!!! Really?

Would you prefer not winning the SEC, Tourney, Not having the publicity and still losing in the Supers?”

Very true and well stated.

This years Arkansas team reminds me of the 1989 State team. We were absolutely loaded that year. Won the conference and Tournament and lost in a Regional. It was and still to this day, a bitter disappointment. That team was possibly our BEST and most talented team ever and we did not get to Omaha that year.
Still congratulations to Arkansas on a great season even with the disappointing end. This one will hurt for a long time, unfortunately.

What exactly did winning the SEC tournament do for Arkansas?

It is what it is man. DVH said in his post game presser that these guys practiced hard and played hard all season. Wanted and expected to win every time they stepped on the field.

That group won 3 trophies this season(SEC, SECt, and Regional). Didn’t get the trophy that is the most coveted, but that’s baseball. Injuries at the end of the season hurt, but that’s no excuse. They faced the hardest schedule in all of baseball this year and remained #1 throughout.

My honest take...For the #1 overall seed, I thought the Regional was a little tougher than others out there and I think it took a toll...then to have the NCAA start their Super on a Friday after finishing on Monday was a factor.

It is what it is and again, the #1 overall seed doesn’t win a title for the 22nd consecutive season.
