I've been on LSU's arse about Towson for a year. There is no reason for us to play a 1AA school that isn't regional and outside of last year hadn't made the playoffs in about 25 years

Except for one: Maybe that was the only school that had an opening on that date? You don't "automatically" get to play whoever you want, whenver you want.
I can't imagine LSU "wanting" to play this team. Maybe it was the only team available?
Did another team pussy out and leave us with an opening without an opponent? (see Va.Tech - Western Illinois in 2003.)
