That is the thing I don't understand. They might have talent, but if their best coach couldn't win with it, what will a no name, first time head coach do with it?
History is not on their side for coaches. Like what you said, they are a sub .500 program overall. This talent that they have has played easy competition. Most of the teams that Mullen did beat, have been fired and replaced.
I'm not saying it isn't possible for this guy to come in and catch fire in a bottle, but it is very unlikely. I am not obsessed what so ever, but it is hard not to reply back to ignorant posts.
I will even go as far as saying that Arkansas, Miss State and OM will be fighting to stay out of last place in the west.

We have been abusing UPig on the reg lately- you probably need to bow out

Look for Tyler Clark and Mecole Hardman to move up the draft boards this fall.

This statement is incorrect
Mullen was considered the top OC in the country when we hired him- and he improved us by 2 wins his 1st season.
We were 8-4 last year and return 17 starters- why cant Moorhead- who is considered a top OC- be expected to do the same?

We lost on the road with a young team. Just like you lost on the road to LSU. We play Auburn at home in 2018.
Auburn plays Bama, Georgia, and State on the road in 2018. You will lose all 3 in 2018. But Auburn still has a very good team
1. A 39 point arse raping from start to finish is not "just like" a 4 point loss.
2. Your cowbells aren't going to make a difference
3. Comparing State to Bama and UGA is honestly one of the most delusional things I've ever read in my years on the rant. Congratulations

Arkansas fans also aren't predicting a national championship and 11 draft picks

What was your record when Mullen came there? Im sure 2 wins was easy. Adding 2 wins from an 8-4 season would be difficult for the same staff, let alone a brand new one with a guy who has never felt the pressure of the SEC before.
You are aware that Mississippi State has the WORST record in the SEC in their football history??
I personally dont think Alabama staff could take over your program and win the SEC this year.

You gonna get those feelings hurt in September. Remember 2014 when we were up 21-0 10 minutes into the game?? It's going to be like that again. You lost too many guys upfront to handle us in 2018

I'm aware that since 1992 when UPig joined the SEC- we arent close to being the worst SEC team in the SEC. What happened in the 1960's doesnt matter now

Arkansas is 8th, Mississippi State is 14th.
I really don't know what you are catching up to exactly.
Especially as an original member.
ETD1: I could also argue that in the 60's the SWC was the SEC of that time. The best conference.

Nick Fitzgerald =/= Dak Prescott
Moorehead =/= Mullen
In 2014 Auburn had the #71 scoring defense. This year we return most of our defense from the #12 scoring defense and have one of the best DL in the country... You'll be lucky to score 21 the whole game.
As for the OL, good thing we play y'all in October. We'll have time sort things out vs better opponents first.
In glad you're so optimistic. You'll be seeing this thread again.

not since 1992 when UPig entered the conference. State outperformed Vandy and Kentucky for sure. I'd also look at OM and SC to check records

Since 1992 nobody has finished last in the West more than Mississippi State

Since 1992, you have won 7, we have won 16 times.
You really only have beat us with Mullen during one of our worst stretches in history.
Before 1992 you guys were better with 2-0
Not sure where you are getting your stats, but your argument is weak as frick.
**Wow, Dan Mullen really got us. The best coach in Miss State History beat John L and Bret B 5 times...
Crazy accomplishment!!

no- you will find that out. All I read on the SECR back then was that Dak was a FB playing QB and wouldnt do shite in the NFL. My how times have changed

No. Moorhead is a very good offensive mind like Mullen, but Moorhead doesnt have the ego problems Mullen has. Moorhead's staff is much better than Mullen's. It's not even close.

State was 26 in Scoring D and 10th in Total D. State has the best DL in the SEC- returning 2 All-SEC 1st team players- and adds a juco impact guy that will be drafted but had to sit last year because of transfer credits. State also returns 4 starters on the OL- and a LT that started 4 games in 2017. So you could really say State returns 5 OL starters. Any football guy knows how big that is- especially to an 8-4 football team.

Mississippi State had never won a game in the state of Arkansas until Bielema was head coach. They did it three times 2013- 24-17, 2015- 51-50 and 2017- 28-21.
Mullen went 5-1 against Bielema and John L in 2012 so they have a very short term memory.
From 1992 to 2011 Arkansas only lost to Mississippi State 4 times all in Starkville.
1992 - 10-3
1994 - 17-7
1998 - 22-21
2008 - 31-28

I bet you thought those WR's were big time NFL prospects. Where were they drafted?

A lot of Mullens victories were spreads like this.
They weren't very good. That is why I have always been a hater of Mullen.

DeRunnya Wilson and Fred Ross were guaranteed draft picks like the 11 guarantees they'll have this year
