You have the best defensive player in the nation IMO, but MI isn't even the best running back on your team so your Heisman arguement doesn't fly with me.

So we have the best defensive player in the nation, a Heisman winner at RB, and his backup who you claim is BETTER than him... but our team isn't one of the best?

Based on that list, the only team I'd have in front of this year's Alabama team is 1995 Nebraska. The second best team on that list (also Nebraska) played only 12 games, and escaped with a 4 point win in the conference championship game.

Serious question: are you old enough to remember the '71 season? The reason I ask is the team they beat by 4 points was incredible. To say they "escaped" might be true, but you would have to consider the talent of the opponent. 1971 Huskers

You have a bootleg QB. Get real.

How about this? Would you admit that this is a down year in the SEC? Other than Florida and Texas did you play a top tier team this season?

Not your fault.....just saying that your best win of the season was UF and it was a great win. But you barely beat a McCoy-less Texas (and don't give me this shite about 16 points).

Maybe you are the best team ever, but I haven't seen you play enough quality competition to know.

A team is more than just a QB.

Unless you're Tx that is.

If you get a chance, watch the NU/OU game. It was one of the best ever and featured two incredible teams. Ali/Frazier III of football.

Don't get me wrong, this year's Bama team is great. You can't do more than win them all, against some really good teams, and the players who received honors deserved to win the awards. But, the 1945 Army team, 65 years later, is still a top 3......History will write the final chapter.

This is why I would not have minded Texas winning. You guys squeek by two bad teams(LSU and Auburn). Have one good win and then beat a Texas team without Colt and you guys are talking about being the best ever. Get real guys!

There are many non-national champion teams better than 2009 Alabama.

No. Sending 10 teams from your conference to a bowl game does not equate to it being a "down year".

You can't say "other than (fill in the blank), who did you play?" - because we did play those teams. We played Florida and destroyed them. We played Texas and dominated the first half and won the game in the 4th quarter - where great teams come through. We also played Virginia Tech who finished with 10 wins and ranked #10 in the country.

In all, we played and beat 5 top 25 teams, 3 top 10 teams, and 10 teams who played in bowl games.

Name 5 teams better than the 2009 Alabama Crimson Tide, and provide stats to back up your claims. Go.

Half the teams in the country go to bowl games every year. How often does the SEC send 10 teams to bowls?

You may have the worst starting QB to ever win a BCS title and you claim to be the best team. He may turn out to be alright but right now he is the worst with probaly the has the worst performance in the title game.

Wish I could continue to argue this point with you, but I can see we are both getting nowhere.

Congrats on the championship.
