2004 Sugar Bowl

Does anybody know why the game was played on a Sunday? It just seemed like a puzzling decision to have the BCS national championship game at that time. There were two NFL playoff games earlier that day which sort of overshadowed the game. I have no idea why the game wasn't played on a weekday.

i don't know why they did that. ratings were fricking terrible.

LSU/OU was going head to head with some NFL games. Dumb decision on someone's part.

I didn't. It followed the 2004 season, making it the 2004 sugar bowl.
