You're missing the real headline here. It was 40 years between natties for us but we won 6 sec titles during that same time span with 20 years being the longest drought for one of those.
Tennessee is at 25 years without even an sec title with no real end in sight. That's the truly embarrassing part

Kiffin who left after one year? Dooley after three losing seasons including back to back 1-SEC win seasons? Butch after 5 seasons including the worst season in UT history up until that point? Pruitt after a cheating scandal and the worst season in UT history? Come on now.
Schiano was butch 2.0 at a time when that was going to crash and burn and potentially kill the fanbase forever. I'd take what happened and where it led us over hiring him any day of the week and so would any other fanbase in our shoes. If he's so great why did the Bucs and OSU force him out? why can't he get a head coaching job anywhere else but Rutgers? Why did he win 3 games last year?
And despite not being a great HC according to you, Heup still waxes the shite out of Missouri every year. Gonna let him score 62 again this time?

Why are Vol fans melting?
Vols should have one goal this year - beat Bama. Get a win streak going against Nick Charmin on his way out the door and build up your defense. Program has a really strong potential right now.
