Most cheers are done as a celebration or to directly get into the opponents head. Maroon/White cheer is more like a coyote yell at dusk. Showing force of numbers, location of pack and scaring the shite out of your prey

Pretty simple -- and makes perfect sense.
The particular Mizzou poster(s) were calling me a dumbass for driving past a minor league park in Pearl to go watch college baseball in Starkville and Oxford. This just shows the extent that the college teams are a greater draw than the minor league team here.
