Absolutely, but never heard it expressed 1+1=3. It’s a pretty lame catch phrase in a world of terrible catch phrases

From 4-35, everything from rec league to Olympic qualifiers(I fenced). Dumb slogans are part of the deal with some coaches. It’s something Kirby and Butch have in common, a yearly “branding” bumper sticker slogan everyone else laughs at.
