I'd like to take a cheap trip with wife and kids (7 & 8yo) somewhere within driving distance (12 hrs or less). I thought about taking them somewhere you can search for fossils like SC. Maybe take them to a cabin in TN. Just looking for good ideas for making a fun trip with the kids on a budget. I'll find a place for $120/night, but then there's a $300 cleaning fee and $275 resort fee or whatever.
Going to Key Largo with my wife and 2 kids (5 and 6 yrs old) tomorrow and will be in the Keys until Tuesday. We'll be staying in a beach house Wed-Sun and will head to Key West for a night on Sunday night. We'll work our way back to FLL and spend the night close to the airport Monday night before flying back in the morning.

It's going to be a pretty chill trip, but are there any suggestions for things to check out while we're down there? Fun stuff to do with kids in Key West for a day?

My wife's cousin is a radio show co-host with Boodreaux in Florida and I'm pretty sure he's the same Boodreaux that posts on the OB. Necrotizing Fasciitis is some bad stuff.

Update 5/24 - Boodreaux passed away last night. Sad
quote:

Good morning FFR family and friends. If you didn't hear the news, last night at 1030p BooDreaux passed away. He was fighting Necroting Fasciitis, aka flesh eating disease. This disease is horrible and as anglers, if you go into the water with a cut, either fresh or saltwater you could be in trouble. BooDreaux was the main reason why we had a radio show. When he and I started working together the show was called BooDreaux's BoonDocques. He allowed me to invite Captain Mike in but also change the name to Fishing Florida Radio mainly because NO ONE COULD spell that name. We wanted to have a show that was entertaining first, interview professional anglers and be a show like no other. I know we were one of the first to do this. We were one of the biggest and most downloaded shows on iTunes. At one time, we were the 2nd most downloaded outdoor show on iTunes with MILLIONS of downloads. Boodreaux always allowed us to have fun, poke fun at him, but knew he was a better team player that the main person talking. BooDreaux knew EVERYONE in the industry, scary how many people he knew, and while we all have our faults, he always had our fishing community in his heart and moving forward. He participated in kids fishing events, our Gumbo Wars cooking event yearly and was a good man. I think we are going to still do the blood drive on Wednesday at Fish on Fire, and if your available to make it, we would love to see ya and say thank you for listening to us all those years, we really appreciated the love and support. God Bless!!
If you bought more tickets than you plan to use, I'd like to buy 4 tickets for my family. Tickets sold out a lot faster than expected.

I'd like to stream live TV from my OTA antenna to Plex. I have a Nvidia Shield Pro and currently have the OTA antenna straight to the living room TV. I'd like to stream straight to Plex, so that I can watch on other devices when I'm not home. I have no need for DVR, but would like to be able to tune to different channels on different devices.

What would be the best HDHomerun tuner(or any other brand) and any other equipment I would need to set up? I currently use IPTV through tivimate, but would like to stream that through plex too if it's possible (I'm happy with tivimate though).

Did anyone buy general admission tickets for 10/9 that they are no longer planning to use? Looking for 2 or 4
Cars are parking on the shoulder of both sides of Burbank for about a 1 mile stretch, really making traffic wonderful for those leaving campus after the game.

Mini PC for Plex server

Posted by LSU Tigershark on 6/23/21 at 9:38 pm
I bought this mini PC on Prime Day. I'm hoping to get a Plex server that I can leave running constantly (currently using my laptop for single movies at a time). I'm wondering if I can use an 8TB USB hard drive for media storage and be able to stream 4k without issues? If not, I'll probably just send it back. $122 for 8GB/120GB and Win 10 Pro seemed like a really good deal
Is there a browser that will allow you to play embedded video and enlarge it to full screen? Pulling out the laptop and casting is a PITA, so I'm hoping to find a solution to open a website, play embedded video, and make it full screen. In the past, we would stream lsu baseball games with beau's website, but even then, I couldn't make the video full screen with the browser on Nvidia. I could only use the TV's built-in browser (LG). Is there a better browser I'm missing?
I'm looking for gift ideas for a traveler. I've bought plenty of suitcases and bags and most don't hold up well. What would you get as a gift for a traveler or what is a gift that you would enjoy receiving?
I'm looking for a Christmas gift for FIL, who I duck hunt with. We hunt a little lake in Ville Platte.

What is your favorite motion decoy in your spread?
I created a 45 minute funeral memorial video/slideshow in Premiere Pro. I exported into an .AVI file to ensure that video and audio were synced (the other format compressed the video to be 12 min shorter than the audio).

I'm trying to burn the video to a DVD to automatically play and restart when finished without menus. I've tried using DVD Flick, which automatically plays, but squeezes the aspect of the video, even though wide-screen is selected. I've tried DVD Styler and I've created 6 coasters so far.

Any help is appreciated. I don't understand why it's so complicated to burn a DVD. This should be an automatic thing with Adobe Premiere Pro.

ETA: Windows 10, Premiere Pro CC
Which policies have won you over (or were deal breakers) in your decision regarding the president?
I'm taking my son on his first father-son trip in 3 weeks. He's really into dinosaurs, so I'll be taking him to Dinosaur Ridge in Morrison one day. I'm taking him to RMNP one of the days and already got passes for the Saturday and Monday mornings so that we have flexibility (Saturday was a free day, but also the LSU game).

What are some good sites/short hikes that would be good for a 5 yr old? I definitely want to take the Old Falls River Rd on the way up to the Summit shop. Of course, I'm also bringing my camera and looking forward to getting some good pictures. Any suggestions for good places to view wildlife, great scenery, etc would be great. We've been talking about all the wildlife that we can potentially see in the park.

Also, anything else that might be of interest for a 5 yr old in the Denver area would be great. I'd like for it to be memorable for him.
I acquired my dad's old Stevens Model 59A .410 yesterday, on the 3rd anniversary of his death. It was stolen about 4 years ago from his house that he was remodeling and was recovered by the police. Unfortunately, he had much more valuable guns that were never recovered.

I've never used a tube-fed bolt-action shotgun before, but I would like to clean it up and use it around the camp, and eventually pass it down to little LSU Tigershark.

I don't have any shells for it yet, but I'm trying to figure out how to feed the shells into it. The end of the tube is open and there is a hole underneath the tube, so I'm assuming there is a piece missing. Can anyone tell me a little about the gun, approximate age, if it looks like something is missing? Thanks

I've been consolidating all of our pictures/files/etc onto an 8TB WD easystore hard drive from all of our other hard drives, online/cloud accounts, etc. Today I decided to turn on my wife's old MacBook pro that hasn't been turned on in a couple of years probably.

It takes forever to finally even boot up and open up the folders to copy. I plug in the hard drive and it never shows up. I try to find a way to eject it, but it's not recognized, so I unplug it. I plug it into the PC and I get a message that the device is not recognized. I've spent hours and hours getting all of these files together and now it won't recognize the hard drive. I can tell it's working because the LED is on and I can hear it spinning. Under disk management, it doesn't show that it's working. I tried to see if there was an unallocated partition or something, but it doesn't recognize anything.

I would be pulling all my hair out right about now if it hadn't already fallen out from chemo! Has anyone had this problem before and had a solution without having to do a re-format or deep file recovery?
