I'm skeptical about it but Freeze usually isn't a bullshitter and he sounds confident in them.

I understand. I'm confident about our defense and our receivers, other than that, I'm not that confident.

I think Freeze still has to mature a ton as a coach, which is why his confidence doesn't comfort me as much either.

Basically, he has to say the OL improved from last year because it is almost impossible for it to have gotten worse. Whether or not that improvement makes them a decent OL is yet to be seen.

And we still beat Bama, Won 9 games, was ranked in top 5, and went to a NY6 Bowl. With that shitty OLine and a bum armed QB.

We get decent QB play and any improvements to the line and we are right there again.

The turning point for me was when I heard Taylor and Patterson were running w/ the ones.

Today was Aaron Morris' first day of full participation. He's still the #1 LG until something significant changes.

That's great news. I was skeptical about his rehab. If he gets back to form w/ the weight loss, he might have a very good year.

I'm still trying to figure out why people think RB won't turn the ball over as much as Kelly. Just because RB's arm isn't stronger doesn't mean he is more accurate

Its not about his arm. It's his brain. People believe he plays safe and doesn't take as many risk.

Because people think Swag will show off his arm and force the ball into tight windows or make something out of nothing and chuck it deep.

They think he will showboat and turn the ball over in the process.

In reality Swag has talked about how he takes advantage of his football pedigree and how conversations have inspired him to give up the homerun ball for safe, underneath receivers to better open up the long ball.

Exactly I saw that interview as well. Said he talked to his uncle and others and knows it's okay to take safe right or take a sack when neccesary.

I think chad will make smart decisions, and unlike Bo when he goes the long ball he can get it there and not float it.

Bo made fairly good decisions most of the time.. He just overestimated his arm or put too much under it ... He didn't play to his limitations.

i mean if the guy is making a concerted effort to not face things and he can make the long passes... Assuming he's got the playbook down... Which supposedly was very similar to emcc.... Where he absolutely killed the competition...

It's an easy call. I just hope he stays healthy. Because I don't think fratchanan can keep up with the auburn type of scoring machine.

I keep hearing how similar our offense is to EMCC. Now I have never seen them play but does it concern anyone else that we have a very similar scheme to them?

Not me, it's a high tempo spread and it won them the juco national championship.

And I'm sure freeze system is better. He has been taking notes and forming his offense forever. I can't wait to see what his offense looks like with a live arm.

Why would that concern us?

There are what 130 D1 football teams. And how many D2 D3 and JUCO? People are gonna run the same style. Just the way it is. And I'm sure Freeze has his own twist. Hell I prefer them to run close to the same. EMCC seems to be "our" JUCO. So I think it works well for us

How many INTs did Kelly throw at EMCC? I bet not as many as you would think.... Could give us an indication on how safe he is with the ball. Also.. I watched him play the NC game... Does not seem as proficient of a runner as some think. His release is very quick... Which is what stands out the most to me. I have also been told he has a great football mind... We shall see.

Sounds like he does an EXCELLENT job of taking care of the ball.

It would be miserable living in Scooba. They do have nice football and baseball facilities, but it's in the middle of BFE.

That's the beauty of the place.

There isn't shite else there to do. No distractions. So you either get really good at your craft. Or you smoke a lot of ganja.
