I'd rather go after Jim Leavitt

It's no secret that whoever LSU hires for head coach has to keep Aranda, and rightfully so. He'll also get a nice pay bump after the season, probably 2 million per year. Aranda is worth every penny, but his next job will be a head coaching gig. I'm interested to see if alleva actually interviews Aranda, because I think he'd have an impressive interview.

Ed O would never go back to Ole Miss. I agree that Ole Miss did the right thing by firing O after 2007, but you know O thinks every day about what could have been if he got to coach that insanely loaded roster he put together in 2008. O hates Ole Miss, and regardless O has never even been a defensive coordinator.

I wouldn't mind seeing Strong here. He's not my first choice, but I do think he's a good coach. He was just way in over his head in a job hardly any boosters associated with it wanted him to have.

I hope you are joking. He's not even the dc at LSU.
