Our secondary depth is scary! Every time I have thought of the CB spot, I think Golson, Jones, Hilton, Moore...and then remember.... Teeee Sheparddddd . Not too mention A Alford and Hampton. Man, I can't wait to see us on D this year. I really think Speaks could get a lot of PT this year along with McDowell possibly.

I think Web will be special, but I think they will RS him unless we are depleted with injuries.

Webster brings some talent and Moore is fast as it gets. Be nice to red shirt some depth at db.

Freeze said today was Kailo's best day at corner so far. Apparently made a great play against Megaquon on a fade route.

Also, Laremy Tunsil is a grown arse man, y'all. There's a video on RebelGrove with him and he looks, sounds and acts 30. He says he's not even thinking of the NFL right now and he just wants to get to ATL and get a NC. He's thinking BIG for this school. Love this kid. When asked who was the fastest, hardest person to block he's been up against in practice or in game he said, without hesitation, CJ and Carl Lawson. I'm so ready for CJ to get back out there.

Freeze said he was pleased with Saturday's scrimmage, which is rare. He said it's tough for him to be happy in Spring practice.

It's probably all coach-speak and player-speak, though.

I'm still excited.

The OL will make or break this season. If the OL can remain healthy this team could be nasty.

Can anyone tell me more regarding Daronte Bouldin and how he has looked? I heard 4-year starter? Is that all spring hype tho? Also really hope Aaron Morris can return to form.

Not saying your wrong or anything. Just saying that with who we've got and who I think we will bring in he would have to be realllllly good to be a 4 year starter. I hope he is though

eta: or everybody else could be really bad and he's our only option

From a poster on 247

quote:

I was able to attend saturdays scrimmage and I made it a point to see what would stick out the most to me. Would it be the quarterback play? Which running back excelled most? How awesome our first team D truly was? Which player is most underrated? I came in with an open mind and tried my best to observe everything. I sat there at the bottom of the stands, so I could her the players talk, in my I'tavius Mathers #5 Jersey (he is my fav player and he also got ROCKED on a huge hit by C.J. Johnson, catch the ball or that's what happens) and at the end of the day this stood out to me the most...
Laquon Treadwell is the true definition of a Leader!
Where do I begin, when the players came out and were stretching he was jawing at the DB's and corners and it wasn't a "over confindent" "I'm a jerk" kinda way it was a "I'm the best wide receiver and I'm about to show yall" kind of way. (And he did) It was friendly banter that you can tell brings a team closer together.
The wide recievers would also warm up on the sidelines catching balls out of a football machine that would spit out footballs, the players would line up about 10 yards away then take a step forward after each ball till they were litteraly 3 feet away from the machine. While most players didn't drop hardly any, Megaquon (yes he has earned that nickname in my eyes) didn't drop hardly any either. What's so special about that, he did them all ONE HANDED! while all the other players would have both hands out and look so focused Megaquon would just walk up, stick his hand out and catch it like it was nothing. And he does it with such a swagger too. All the other WR would stop what they were doing and watch Megaquon do his thing.
Also whenever all the Wr and Rb would be on the sidelines while say the Field Goal unit or special teams were out practicing on the field, the skill players would be in a circle and who was the one player they would all gravitate around, who was the one player who did all the talking, who was the one player who walked around with a swagger that no other player possessed as much as him, who was the one player that all the Wr and Rb were all facing and looking toward for leadership,, who was that one person... Laquon "Megaquon" Treadwell!

Bouldin is one of the strongest players on the team. I can believe he will be a four year starter.
