If he's a projected 1st rounder like McShay and many other college analyst believe, he would have to be crazy to stay

IIRC, he's stated before that he would stay regardless. This, of course, was before he went beastmode in '12.

If he is projected round 1 or 2, he needs to go. 3 or later, you could make a good pitch for him to stay,

I agree with this.
UNLESS
We go a good 9-3 or 10-2 this year and we truly believe next year could be a BIG year.
(I'm not saying this will happen (please spots gods let it) but if it did that's how I could see him saying)
