No it definitely doesn't make me depressed. Listening to sad songs has never done that for me, though. It's more cathartic than anything, and really as long as it's just good music I can listen to it in any mood.

Should've listened to modern country for 20 minutes. I'd kill myself if I had to.

Most of that shite is awful.

There is a guy that I graduated high school with that is getting pretty big in Nashville right now whose stuff I don't hate, though. I don't think it's just because I know him, either.

Charlie Worsham - "Could It Be"

It doesn't hurt that I know for a fact he's an awesome guy who's worked his arse off to get where he is and not some privileged douche.

Agreed.

The current playlist I'm beating into the ground is Lana, Chvrches, Birdy, Jack White, Ellie Goulding(yeah I know ), arcade fire, and the doors.

I've been listening to her for a few years

Good music keeps me sane when I get stuck doing surveillance.

Whats so great about vinyl?

I have never been around it but I feel like I should. Especially considering this is one of my favorite albums. I have the CD.

I just really love the sound of a vinyl record and the feel of listening to one. It's kind of a hipster thing, but I just get a good feeling listening to vinyl.

Plus, it's a "thing" for me and my wife. We grab a vinyl record of every show we go to.

My dad kept all of his old vinyl records. He still has his copy of The Beatles The White Album, but too bad it's scratched up so much you can't listen to it.

I know. He regrets loaning it out to friends. He has all of their vinyl records.

Ellie Goulding is solid

Lana is in my top 5 of chick artists I listen to. I don't really like pop but I love me some Michelle Branch.
