I would live in Flowood if I was in my 20's. Jackson is just bad and the new Mayor looks to make it worse (if that's possible). If I was trying to raise a family, and I could afford it, Madison or Gluckstat are great places to go. Great schools, almost no violent crimes, very few other crimes but there isn't much to do if you want to go out and get a little wild. (Magoos doesn't count)

This guy's "go out and get wild" isn't trashy enough..

My wife and I bought a house in Fondren while we were in grad school. Loved that area but I hate the rest of the whole metro area. Jackson, as a whole, truly does suck. Some decent restaurants and that is all there is to it. Couldn't be happier to be back home...
