re: Finishing Out OUR Class

Alright I have updated the list.

We have 21 commits at this point, but Pittman is a grey shirt so we have room for 8 more players.

We will for certain take...
1 LB
2 DB
2 OL
1 WR
2 DL

The players desired most for those positions IMO are...
LB- Morgan
DB- Shepard & Adams
OL- Gennesy & Sims
WR- Pack
DL- Pettway & McDowell

Regardless if Shepard graduates this year or next, wte will take his commitment. If he doesnt make it then Alexander is his replacement.

We want to take a OC in this class, but have to have a juco tackle and I dont believe we have a center on the board that we like as much as Jordan Sims, even though he is a OG. If we miss on either Gennesy or Sims we will go after Connor Mayes who is committed to Minnesota or Jacob Bragg who is committed to Kansas. We feel very confident that we can flip Bragg, while Mayes will be tough because his brother is on the team.

If we dont land Adams, I think we use that slot for the other CB between Alexander and Shepard. If we can only land one DB between Adams, Shepard, or Alexander, then we will use that DB slot for JT Gray.

I think the order of want for DL are...
1. Pettway
2a. McDowell
2b. Reed
3. Taua
and unless we make room in another way, I only see us taking two.

We have already GS'd Pittman an if we were to make room for more than the current 8 spots available I would assume we would do so with Stanberry, Putman, Judd, and Doss. Dickens is also a possibility because he is still having memory loss.
I think we will try to flip Bo and if we do, we will drop Judd, if not, I see us holding onto him.
I could see us drop Putman if we were to land Gennesy, Sims, and Mayes.
I could see us dropping Doss if Gerri or Clifton jump on board given that his back up position will be LB if QB doesnt work out.
I could see us dropping Stanberry if we were to flip Jacory, land Luatua, or get Dupre.

I think we finish with:

2. OT Avery Gennessy
3. OG Jordan Sims
4. DT Jarran Reed
5. DE DJ Pettway
6. DE/DT Garrald McDowell
7. LB Nyles Morgan
8. CB Tee Shephard
9. CB Terrence Alexander

Lose:
1. S CJ Hampton

I also think Christian Morris is able to complete his transfer request. Obviously it would be unfortunate to lose Hampton, but I think this would be a great finish to the class. Best case scenario would be to finish with S Jamal Addams, S CJ Hampton, and CB Tee Shephard...tell me those three names don't make you

No reason to believe we lose Hampton. Not yet anyway.

There havent been any mystery recruits this year? That's Yancy's favorite past time to get page hits.

I said the same thing when I heard about that.

In the latest rebel rise, David made it sound like this is someone bigger than Gerri Green. He said it was someone that could, "change the face of the 2014 class". That is pretty big. Look forward to seeing who that may be.
